Joining

How many servers does Xuanyun Pavilion run?

Two: Survival and Creative. They differ in gameplay, version requirements and address. See Server Information.

What are the addresses and versions?

Do I need a whitelist?

Neither server uses a whitelist. Just add the address and join.

Where do I get the modpack?

The Survival server requires it. Join the community group 1083870083 and download it from the group files. The Creative server needs no modpack.

Connecting and Lines

I cannot connect, or it keeps timing out. What now?

Work through this in order:

1. Make sure the address is typed correctly, with no trailing spaces.
2. Confirm your client matches the server's version (Survival players must install the modpack).
3. Switch to the backup line: bmc.xygmc.top for Survival or bcmc.xygmc.top for Creative.
4. If it still fails, post a full screenshot of the error in the community group.

What is the difference between the primary and backup lines?

Both lead to the same server; only the FRP relay node differs. Switch when latency, packet loss or connection failures appear. The data is identical.

I keep disconnecting or lagging. What should I do?

Try the backup line first. If lag persists, adjust your client settings as described under "In-game Issues" below.

Registration and Login

What should I do on my first login?

Follow the chat prompts to register or log in. If nothing appears for a long time, rejoin once or ask in the QQ group.

Land and Protection

How do I claim land?

Use //wand to get the selection tool, left-click and right-click to set the two corners, then run /rg claim <name>. See Player Commands for details.

Can I take things from unclaimed land?

No. Unclaimed land does not mean free access. Breaking, stealing or taking crops, containers and entities without permission is forbidden.

How do I give a friend access?

Use /rg addmember <name> <player> to invite a member. Confirm the trust relationship first; disputes between members are handled by the land owner.

Economy and Trading

How do I check my balance and send money?

Use /balance to see your balance and /pay <player> <amount> to transfer. For large trades, confirm the items, quantity and amount in person.

What if a trade goes wrong?

Trades must be voluntary and honestly described. Staff will review clear evidence, but cannot provide unconditional rollbacks or guarantees for every voluntary trade.

Reports and Appeals

What penalty levels exist?

Four: Observation → Warning → Temporary ban → Permanent ban, escalating with severity. Repeated violations move you up a level automatically. See 1.1 Penalty Levels.

What gets a permanent ban straight away?

Political content is zero-tolerance: immediate removal, no warning and no appeal. Also included: sexual, violent or otherwise illegal content involving minors, distributing malware or attacking the server, buying or selling accounts and real-money trading, and impersonating staff. See 2.1 Political Content.

What do I do about griefing, cheating or harassment?

Contact the staff in the QQ group 1083870083 and include the player name, time, location or coordinates, what happened, and evidence such as logs, screenshots or recordings.

What if I find a bug, an exploit or a lag issue?

File it on the bug report site at bug.xygmc.top with the time, coordinates and reproduction steps. Reporting an undisclosed exploit carries no penalty; see 4.3 Exploits.

How do I appeal a penalty?

Raise the appeal in the QQ group with your reasoning and evidence. Note that political content cannot be appealed, and continuing to evade a penalty during an appeal affects the outcome.

Other

Will performance-heavy machines be removed?

Entity piles, very large high-frequency redstone or unnecessary chunk loaders that affect the whole server may be limited or removed. Staff will try to contact the owner before cleaning up.

Will I be penalised for adding my own mods?

The Survival server requires the official modpack from our group; adding or removing balance-affecting mods is a violation. Features that only improve visuals, performance or key bindings and do not affect fairness are generally acceptable. Ask staff when in doubt.
